Odren Pelgyi Wangchuk 8th cent.
Name Variants: Pelgyi Wangchuk

Odren Pelgyi Wangchuk ('o brandpal gyi dbang phyug) was born in Oyugdar ('o yug mdar), a son of the Odren clan. He lived as a household tantrika and became a heart disciple of Padmasambhava. He mastered the tantric teachings and gained the ability to swim in wide rivers like a fish. His clan still preserves and practices the oral teachings of the spoken word (bka' ma) lineage of Nyingma teachings.
