Lodro Sengge b.1345 - d.1390
Name Variants: Jamyang Lodro Sengge

Jamyang Lodro Sengge ('jam dbyangs blo gros seng ge) was born in Mustang in 1345. His father was Jamyang Kunga Sengge ('jam dbyangs kun dga' seng+ge, 1314 d. 1347), the seventh abbot of Ralung and the eight in the list of “Nine Incomparible Lions” (mnyam med seng ge dgu). Lodro Sengge was born when his father was thirty-two, and five years later transferred to the monastery, presumably when his father became abbot. He took novice ordination with a lama named Sonam Lodro (bsod nams blo gros), and received instruction in the Drukpa teachings from numerous Ralung lamas.
Among his disciples were Khyentse Tokden (mkhyen brtse rtogs ldan, d.u.), who was also a student of Jonang Chokle Namgyel (jo nang phyogs las rnam rgyal, 1306-1386), and Yeshe Rinchen (ye shes rin chen, 1364-1413), the 11th abbot of Ralung.
His son Jamyang Yeshe Rinchen ('jam dbyangs ye shes rin chen, 1364-1413) was the eleventh abbot of Ralung. His other son, Sherab Senge (shes rab seng ge, 1371-1392), was the tenth abbot of Ralung and the last of the “Nine Incomparible Lions.”
