Khawa Karpo is a mountain range located between Dechen, Dzogang, and Dzayul counties in modern-day Yunnan province. Revered as the mountain deity Men Tsunmo, Khawa Karpo is one of the most sacred peaks in Tibet and is an important pilgrimage site associated with Padmasambhava. The surrounding region is home to monasteries of the Katok tradition.
